This will be a special occasion for sure! Original New Zealand music in your neighbourhood!
After more than four years Groucho’s friend Graeme Jefferies from Wellington (NZ) is back on this side of the globe, in this country, in the Ruhrpott Reason enough to get together on stage and do a “cross continental indie-folk double bill” (or whatever you wanna call it).
Most people here will know the title song Graeme wrote for the film SONNENALLEE but he’s been around in New Zealand’s great independent music scene since the early 1980’s. And now he is back with his new album “Kangaroos In My Top Paddock”.
For this special concert THE CAKEKITCHEN will be Graeme (guitar, vocals) and Groucho (drums). SHIP OF ARA will be Stefan & Groucho (of course) with Anne (vocals) and Oldrik (doghouse bass, vocals).
Don’t miss this very rare musical treat – who knows how long you’ll have to wait ‘til Graeme’s in town again…

We've invited CHRIS BROKAW for a special acoustic concert at the cultural centre Riwetho e.V.
In the 90s Brokaw almost single-handedly invented Slowcore and both of his bands Codeine and Come belonged to the vanguard of this genre.
More recently Chris has been collaborating along with Chris Eckman und Hugo Race in Dirtmusic, playing Blues of the Great Depression-Era with Geoff Farina, and is a band member of Thurston Moore and the Lemonheads.
Ship of Ara is happy to support Chris with their blend of psychedelia, folk and blues. By the way, you can get to cultural centre Riwetho by bus, by car or (no pun intended) by ship.
